Having a small business website communicates your legitimacy to your visitors. What happens when you provide product information, hours, directions and means of contact?
People feel more confident in what you’re offering and are more likely to buy from you!

Before building the website, I wrote content to describe her business and products. We had a photo shoot to get pictures that would give the website a personal, inviting feel for visitors.
I worked with the owner picking colours that would support her personal branding with a simple lotus flower logo I designed using Adobe Illustrator.
I can build WordPress themes from scratch but upkeep would be the client’s responsibility. Page builders are useful for adding to your website when you’re on your own. So I went with Divi, a page builder for WordPress, so the owner can do that anytime.
Responsive design is just as important as having a website with information about your business. The screen size changes, depending on the device your visitor is using to view your website.
With that in mind, I used multiple media queries to produce designs for smartphones, tablets, laptops and desktop computers.

Each session is an individual product page with product information and directs people to their shopping cart page where they can pay online.
For the online store, I used Woocommerce, an excellent plugin for WordPress that handles products and online payments.
Having a website gives you the ability to sell products without needing to use e-commerce platforms like Amazon. You could potentially save money by cutting out the middleman and have full control over your products. What’s not to love about that?
The result? A simple business website that bring in revenue!

Update
The website has since been updated with a new image for the top section on the homepage.
I work with clients over the years looking after their websites, making sure it’s up to date and making modifications as needed. Big or small, I’m always here to help.
