This was a project I did in university. I was interested in understanding how some signs from American Sign Language borrow features from what we see in reality to describe the concept.

Short video advertisement for a film workshop hosted by Toronto International Deaf Film and Art Festival and Calgary Association of the Deaf, in partnership with Canada Council of the Arts. I was part of the workshop to talk about being a video editor and how to caption online videos.
My husband was the sound guy for the video and I jumped at the chance to go with him to Los Angeles where the shoot was taking place. I got to hang out with a cast and crew who were all Deaf like me and had a fantastic time learning about what production assistants do!
